Ricci flow is a power tool in the study of the geometry and topology of manifolds. I shall give an expository talk on some basic properties of the Ricci flow, and particularly the role of the positivity of the curvature plays. Main results (with bias of focusing on the results of speaker) shall be surveyed with discussions of open problems
